Designer: Nicola Slaney
Limited Edition: 75
Comfrey is a native perennial found growing in ditches, damp hedgerows and woods. It grows in large clumps up to three or four feet tall and has long, pointed, slightly hairy, oval leaves. With designer scissors in hand, Nicola has trimmed the white-washed bell-shaped flowers and woven them with stems of camomile-green and leaves of mint-green into sweeping curves around the contours of the popular 26/9 art nouveau-shaped vase. The cobalt blue ground is softened with burgundy at the base before fading softly into a burgundy cream haze along the slender neck of the vase. This calming colour palette with its gentle design structure, comes in a tempting limited edition of only 75 pieces.
