Richly coloured gentians wrap themselves around the celadon body of an unusual Moorcroft vase in clusters of azure-blue rosettes. Their trumpet-shaped flowers can also be found elsewhere in shades of white, cream, yellow, or red. The blue-flowered variety selected by Kerry Goodwin, dominate the Northern Hemisphere, while the red-flowered variety are dominant in the Andes. In this design, young buds await their growth-spurt from beneath the shady shelter of tall stems and petals. Within the foliage, the background is faintly washed in deep shades of blues and purples. This is a magical design in every sense.
